Marina Colonna's Bosco Pontoni Estate is in the Molise, where her father planted many different varieties of olive trees - some local, others bought in from regions around Italy, and now, some new and experimental.
The estate's Classic Oil is produced from Frantoio, Leccino, Peranzana, FS17, Nocellara del Belice, Itrana, and Cima di Melfi olives, as well as some other experimental varieties, that combine to make a well-balanced, fruity oil.
2025 Harvest
On the nose are notes of ripe pear and fresh basil, alongside tomato vine and a hint of wild fennel. The fennel carries through onto the palate, accompanied by a pronounced bitterness. Hints of thyme and wild herbs emerge, along with raw artichoke and the peppery bite of rocket. The bitterness persists into the finish, culminating in a strong kick of red chilli.
Please note that the 3 and 5 litre olive oil tins are fragile and can sometimes arrive dented. We will not be able to refund or replace any dented tins unless the seal itself is damaged or the tin is leaking.
